Bringing complex EPCI project experience to ECOnnect
Kenneth MacLeod joins ECOnnect as Senior System Engineer, bringing more than ten years of experience from energy and infrastructure projects.
Most recently at Nexans, Kenneth has held senior engineering and system management positions, leading multidisciplinary teams through the different phases of major projects: from concept and fabrication to installation, testing and commissioning. His experience with leading diverse teams & projects compliments the ECOnnect portfolio well, as we move forward with major projects across the globe.
Originally from Scotland, Kenneth has found his home in Norway, and is motivated to work with ECOnnect in this new phase: “I was drawn to ECOnnect as a dynamic and growing company with exciting new technology. I'm most looking forward to learning from the team here and in return contributing my experience from past roles in EPCI projects to strengthen the company.”

Strengthening our process expertise
Sanna Gangstad joins as Senior Process Engineer, bringing nine years of experience across the energy and offshore industries.
After she graduated from NTNU in 2017, with a degree in Chemistry, she has turned her head towards complex engineering tasks. Over the years she has worked with a range of industry engineering projects, including reliquefication of LPG and LEG at Wärtsilä, subsea projects at Aker Solutions, and projects within HRSG and carbon capture at KANFA.
Her broad process engineering background, with a unique insight to chemistry and molecules, adds important in-house expertise to ECOnnect as we continue developing and delivering our technology: for both LNG, and for new applications like ammonia, hydrogen and CO₂.
“I am looking forward to joining ECOnnect and contributing to the team. The opportunity to work with new technology and be part of a growing company is something I find very motivating.”

Bringing a new perspective to the energy transition
Mia Booth joins ECOnnect as a Graduate. Her career journey took a turn after completing two years of studies in Medicine, before changing direction and pursuing a Master’s degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU, specialising in Electrical Engineering.
For Mia, choosing a company actively contributing to the energy transition was an important part of deciding where to begin her professional career.
“I wanted to join a company within the energy sector that is actively contributing to sustainability and the green transition. That is what sparked my interest in ECOnnect, and I am very much looking forward to contributing and drawing on my background as we continue to grow together.”
Her combination of technical education, industrial economics and a fresh outlook brings a valuable perspective to the team as a whole. Our Graduates complete a two-year rotational program, where they hold central positions across all the departments, gaining unique insights into how the business is run.

Increasing capacity to deliver
The three new hires join at an important stage in ECOnnect’s development. With major projects progressing, new contracts being signed and increasing demand for flexible energy infrastructure, building the right capabilities in-house is essential.
“Our growth is not only about taking on more projects. It is about building the expertise and capacity needed to deliver them well,” says CEO Morten Christophersen.
“Bringing in people like Kenneth, Sanna and Mia strengthens us in several ways. We are adding solid project and engineering experience while also bringing in new perspectives and developing the next generation of talent within ECOnnect.”
With a growing team and an expanding international project portfolio, ECOnnect is continuing to build the capabilities needed to turn innovative technology into real-world energy infrastructure.
