This week, we're welcoming this year's summer interns onto the team. It's a mix of new and familiar faces: one returning face, three joining us for the first time, and eight weeks ahead of real project work across engineering, technology and commercial.
Back for round two
Erle Damm is returning to ECOnnect this summer after interning with us in 2025. She's studying Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU, with a specialisation in Energy and the Environment. She has just completed her fourth year, and is starting her fifth this autumn.
"Working alongside people who are both highly competent and genuinely passionate about what they do is inspiring, and a big part of why I wanted to come back," says Erle. "The innovative mindset here is something I find myself learning from every day. I am really looking forward to the summer ahead."
Outside of her studies, Erle enjoys spending time outdoors. This summer, she's aiming to get better acquainted with the energy market, building on what she picked up during her first internship with the team.
A new face on the team
Nora Doksrød is currently studying Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU, with a specialisation in Marine Technology. She has just completed her third year, and is looking forward to a summer full of learning, new challenges, and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a company at the forefront of the energy transition.
"What drew me to ECOnnect Energy was the combination of a fascinating company story and how well the role aligned with my background in marine technology," says Nora. "There is something special about working closely with the founders every day. The access you get to experienced people and real decision-making is something you simply cannot replicate in a classroom."
Outside her studies, Nora is passionate about running, skiing and sailing, the latter two at a competitive level until recently. She's particularly looking forward to deepening her understanding of the LNG market and contributing to the projects ahead.
Closer to the team, closer to the impact
Filip Hedløy is currently studying Product Development and Production at NTNU, specialising in mechatronics and robotics. He has just completed his fourth year, and is starting his fifth this autumn.
"One of the reasons I applied to ECOnnect Energy is that I like working in smaller companies, where you get closer to the team, the projects and the impact of the work," says Filip. "I'm also excited to work with technology that combines engineering with real-world challenges, and to learn how ECOnnect develops practical solutions for the energy transition."
During his free time, Filip spends time on 3D printing and staying physically active. This summer, he's looking forward to getting stuck into the practical, hands-on side of product development, and contributing directly to how ECOnnect's engineering solutions take shape.
Turning complex challenges into practical solutions
Andreas Kjetilstad is studying Industrial Economics and Technology Management at NTNU, with a specialisation in Electrical Engineering. He has just completed his third year, and is starting his fourth this autumn. This is his first internship.
"The important role ECOnnect Energy plays in the energy transition motivated me to apply for this internship," says Andreas. "I'm also looking forward to working as a team with well-experienced colleagues, and gaining experience from complex projects."
Besides of work and studies, Andreas enjoys running, skiing and general outdoor activities. This summer, he's hoping to build a solid foundation in how electrical systems and project work come together in practice.
Over the next eight weeks, all four will work alongside our team on real projects, contributing to the work we do every day to make marine energy infrastructure faster to deploy and easier to scale.
Welcome to the team, summer interns of 2026.
