ECONNECT Energy was founded in 2012 driven by the belief that clean energy should be accessible and affordable. Challenging “business as usual” in the maritime, shipping and energy sectors, ECONNECT Energy pioneered the world’s first jettyless transfer of LNG, addressing the need for a cost-effective and environmentally-sound solution in the LNG value chain.
Located in Oslo, Norway, ECONNECT Energy is positioned among many innovative companies leading the technology revolution in offshore energy.
We offer access to clean energy
In the beginning ECONNECT Energy wanted to simplify LNG transfer from ship to shore; after extensive analysis and interviews with maritime companies, experts and ship captains, it was apparent that there was a tremendous opportunity to simplify LNG cargo offloading and berthing possibilities. The question then became:
"Is there a way to bring the jetty to the ship, rather than the ship to the jetty?"
Today, ECONNECT Energy assists the midstream, downstream and maritime markets with a jettyless IQuay™ transfer system. The IQuay technology features a game-changing floating platform system for loading, reloading and bunkering of LNG, renewable fuels and CO2 for sequestration without the need for invasive, time-and cost-intensive fixed infrastructure.
Bridging innovation with sustainability
ECONNECT Energy works to understand our customers' goals and the technology gaps in the market, leveraging our industry experience and domain expertise from the shipping, maritime and energy sectors to deliver cost-effective, flexible and sustainable energy transfer solutions for the maritime industry.
The team at ECONNECT Energy are leading the way to a future of jettyless transfer. We are committed to solving energy infrastructure challenges through our consultancy services and proprietary technology solutions.

We are dedicated to realising and de-risking your marine infrastructure project
ECONNECT Energy was born from first-hand experience with the challenges and inefficiencies of traditional LNG offloading methods from ship to shore. Our core offerings remove the need for fixed and permanent infrastructure such as quays, jetties, trestle structures and loading platforms. Dredging, which is expensive and damaging to coastal areas, can be eliminated with ECONNECT’s floating jettyless transfer solution.
