The award is given to a company that has demonstrated market progress, an innovative solution or product, and a high export share. The award was presented by Jan Christian Vestre, the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry.

– We are extremely proud to receive the "Export Prize 2023 – Newcomer of the Year” award. This award is a recognition of our hard work and dedication to creating innovative and cost-efficient solutions from Norway making cleaner energy accessible and affordable globally” – Morten A. Christophersen, CEO at ECOnnect Energy.

The jury's reasoning

- This year's newcomer is a company with an innovative product that can be of great importance for the energy transition throughout Europe, and is a company we have followed with excitement for several years both in Innovation Norway and Eksfin, says Håkon Haugli, CEO of Innovation Norway.

Eksfin is a financial enterprise in Norway that aims to support the competitiveness of Norwegian export industries by providing export financing and credit guarantees and operates under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries.

Innovation Norway is a governmental organization dedicated to promoting innovation and development in Norwegian enterprises and industries. Through providing a broad range of business support services, including advisory, promotional, and network services, as well as financial assistance, they aim to enhance the competitive advantage and innovation of Norwegian businesses.

Revolutionary system

We are humbled and honoured to receive this award for our revolutionary IQuay™ technology, which enables jettyless transfer and eliminates the need for costly fixed infrastructure. This recognition is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our entire team. We are grateful to Innovasjon Norge and Eksfin for acknowledging our commitment to innovation in energy distribution. Thank you to all the hard-working people in our company who made this possible and to our clients for trusting in our cleaner and more cost-efficient solutions, states Magnus Eikens.

At ECOnnect Energy, we provide a jettyless transfer system that enables the safe and efficient transfer of various fluids, including LNG, biofuels, ammonia, and CO2. Our floating technology eliminates the need for traditional fixed-jetty infrastructure, resulting in significant cost savings and reduced environmental impacts. Our solution is prefabricated at a shipyard, making it flexible and mobile, and enabling energy distribution to areas that were previously considered infeasible.
