A solid background in strategy and finance
Torkel Storflor Halmø brings extensive experience to his new role, both from his position as a Director in the Ownership Department at the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, and from his background in strategy, finance, and due diligence at PwC. At the Ministry, he is responsible for large-listed entities and unlisted companies where the Norwegian government holds direct ownership. His deep financial and commercial expertise, combined with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and value creation through active ownership, positions him well to guide ECOnnect through the challenges and opportunities of scaling up.
Halmø's career path has naturally led him to ECOnnect. His father, a recognized LNG expert, had early interactions with the company, providing advisory services. Torkel has followed the company's growth from a distance and, after joining the board in 2022, has increasingly become involved in shaping its strategic direction.
