ECOnnect Energy is happy to welcome Arne-Kristian Krydsby Johnsen as our new Project Manager. With extensive experience across project management, engineering leadership, and early-phase development, Arne-Kristian brings deep technical expertise from complex energy projects.

Before joining ECOnnect, Arne-Kristian most recently worked as a consultant at AFRY working with land-based process industry, such as Chemring Nobel. He has held senior engineering- and project roles at Nemo Engineering, TechnipFMC, Technip Energies/Kanfa, and the hydrogen start-up Hyon. His background includes front-end engineering and concept studies, project engineering and subsea design, offshore operations, prototype and full-scale testing and construction work on- and offshore. Furthermore, roles have contained commercial and contractual responsibilities in large engineering projects.

Moving from Traditional Energy to Sustainable Solutions

“My background is rooted in oil and gas, but for some time I’ve been looking to apply my experience in greener and more forward-looking projects,” Arne-Kristian explains.

“Earlier in my career, I worked on innovative low emission solutions in Kanfa and later a very exciting journey with Hyon in the hydrogen space.”

What truly stood out to him about ECOnnect was the company’s approach to energy infrastructure.

“When I came across ECOnnect’s job posting, it immediately resonated with me. I’ve been involved in projects where vast areas of concrete permanently reshaped natural landscapes,” he says. “ECOnnect’s floating and flexible solutions make it possible to deliver energy without fundamentally transforming the environment around it.”

A Clear Motivation for the Years Ahead

“I probably have 15 to 20 years left in my working life,” Arne-Kristian reflects. “I want to spend that time contributing to sustainable solutions that genuinely make a positive impact.”

We’re excited to have Arne-Kristian join the ECOnnect team and look forward to the expertise and leadership he brings to our projects.

Welcome to ECOnnect, Arne-Kristian!
